The groups medical expertise, which is available at five convenient locations, covers the spectrum of eye care and specialties including: routine eye exams, cataracts, glaucoma, corneal transplants, retina-vitreous care, pediatrics, laser vision correction, and plastic surgery of the eyelids.
We are currently seeking a hardworking, motivated Ophthalmic Assistant that will work in our Sugar Land location. This is an excellent career opportunity for a responsible individual who is committed to building a future and growing with our practice. No experience is necessary as we are willing to train the perfect candidate.
Schedule: M-F 8:15 am - 5:15 pm

You will be required to learn various aspects of ophthalmology and expand knowledge and skills in a timely manner. Must be able to perform the following responsibilities:
Promptly and professionally assists the doctor in patient care
Communicates with patients regarding follow-up care, surgeries, procedures, changes in schedule, symptoms
Maintains and cleans all equipment being used
Returns phone calls to patients and pharmacies
Assists in minor surgery
Maintains patient confidentiality
Efficiently and accurately interviews patients and documents histories
Refractions
Perform diagnostic testing, such as OCT, Visual Fields, Tear Osmolarity, Topography
Scribe for Ophthalmologist
Skills required

Bilingual is preferred but not required
