Qualifications: Education/CertificationHigh School diploma or GED requiredCurrent first aid/ CPR certification or willingness to obtain preferred Special Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Physical DemandsExperience working with young children preferredLoving, nurturing disposition toward young children requiredBilingual (Spanish/English) preferredValid Texas Driver’s License or other reliable mode of transportation during work hours requiredProof of current automobile liability insurance requiredClear background history checks at the local, state, and federal levels required (Background checks are conducted by the ESC at no cost to the applicant.)Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and uphold the high standards of the Head Start quality of care according to the Head Start Performance StandardsModerate technology skills requiredMust be service driven with the ability to assume personal responsibility and maintain a positive outlookMust demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, possess the ability to work as a team player, enjoy a variety of activities, and possess organizational abilitiesMust be physically able to participate in moderate to high levels of physical activity, such as, but not limited to, standing for moderate to lengthy periods of time, lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, stooping, bending, and reachingMust be able to tolerate contact with cleaning and sanitizing productsHourly Pay Rate: $18.13 per hour (Up to $145 for a full workday) This pay rate reflects the temporary availability of COVID funds. Hourly pay will revert to standard procedure after these funds are exhausted.
