Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and professional Dental Receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our dental office. This is a vital role in our practice, as you will be the first point of contact for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using medical scheduling software
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department
- Maintain patient records and update dental and medical information as needed
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing and payment processing
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient concerns or complaints in a professional manner
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
Skills:
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of dental office procedures and terminology
- Proficiency in using medical scheduling software
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite
