We are searching for a Unit Clerical Assistant—someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position you’ll perform receptionist and clerical responsibilities for assigned unit. We need someone who can represent the Hospital, utilizing effective customer service skills, ensure that hospital visitation guidelines are followed and that the waiting area is used appropriately, and to assist the families of patients in obtaining needed information.

Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
One of the following required addition to the high school diploma or GED
· One (1) year experience as secretarial/administrative coordinator in hospital/doctor’s office is preferred
· Knowledge of basic secretarial functions and excellent customer service skills
· Ability to speak Spanish is preferred
· Ability to operate office equipment, telephone system, personal computer, facsimile and photocopy machine
· Demonstrates good time management skills
· Demonstrates good interpersonal skills
· Demonstrate good written and verbal communication
