Texas Children's Hospital is Hiring a Senior Pharmacy Managed Care Contract Administrator - Payor Contracting Near Houston, TX

Job Summary

We are searching for a Senior Pharmacy Managed Care Contract Administrator -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will analyze, negotiate, and implement Pharmacy contracts, with pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) on behalf of the Texas Children's Hospital System (TCHS). Inclusive of Hospital retail and specialty pharmacy Services. In doing so, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with individuals at all levels of authority within each health plan, and TCHS, including CEOs, CFOs, and Vice Presidents. Position may interact with attorneys, directors, assistant directors, managers, and peers daily. The position is responsible for managing and completing major departmental projects including recommending project plans & recommending resource allocations.

Responsibilities

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Negotiates Retail and Specialty Pharmacy contracts
  • Prepares and analyzes financial reports in support of Retail and Specialty Pharmacy contracting initiative
  • Develops and maintains strategic relationships with IDS personnel and health plans at all levels of authority
  • Assures compliance with regulatory requirements and product requirements related to provider contracting functions
  • Assists in the development of contracting strategy for TCH Retail and Specialty Pharmacy initiatives
  • Implements new Retail and Specialty Pharmacy contracts.
  • Supports management through communication, ad hoc reporting, and quality improvement initiative

Qualifications

Skills & Requirements

  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years hospital managed-care experience, in a facility contracting, provider relations, or hospital business office role
