Texas Children's Hospital is Hiring a Rev Cycle System Support Sr Near Houston, TX

Job Summary

We are searching for Sr. Revenue Cycle System Support — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will support and monitor end user processes relating to Prelude/ADT and Resolute Billing Systems and provide support for maintaining routine Revenue Cycle masterfile's and work queues that support activities such as registration, scheduling, admissions, financial clearance, claims, and troubleshooting and analyzing assigned problems within Revenue Cycle.

  • Training SharePoint Site Updates - Course Catalog, Training Request Form
  • Training Department Shared Inbox - Answer various questions regarding training requests
  • Customer Support
  • Instructor - Led Training Support - Assisting trainers during courses with technical issues, Logging in, Remote access, HealthStream access
  • Performs revenue cycle system-related maintenance and support. Updates Masterfile's and other revenue cycle tables to ensure optimal system performance and accuracy, including but not limited to Provider and Employee Masterfile's. Coordinates access for users Payer Website Access portals and Claim Billing systems as appropriate to their role and approval by leadership. Perform revenue cycle related activities for assigned work queues which require higher level review for timely revenue cycle resolution, including but not limited to claim edits, discharged not billed edits, stop billing edits, charge edits. Analysis of edits may result in further analysis of workflow or application issues, requiring additional consultation with leadership. Responsible for simple to moderate system modifications submitted by leaders, including but not limited to system work queues, claim edits, and the associated testing, evaluation, and review to ensure optimal set up for users. Monitors transaction batches, charge batches, fixes crashed batches and works with other departments to ensure timely reconciliation and processing. Responsible for modifications and testing for all claim billing systems. Ensures a tracking log of all support efforts by entering a ticket log internally with Information Services or external revenue cycle vendors relating to system or report performance issues and performs follow up to bring quick resolution. Develops and completes scenario testing on revised system processes; seeks approvals from operational owners and adheres to Change Control processes.
  • Develops business processes by translating routine user needs into practical detailed solutions. Assists users in identifying system or application needs by analyzing use of existing systems to help identify problem to be resolved and defines process improvements. Analyzes current business practices, user needs, and workflow processes. Recommends modifications to application design or current procedures to maximize use of existing resources. Identifies and documents the data sources and recipients that need to be developed to support data collection and maintenance. Provides documentation of new business processes to Revenue Cycle Education/Training team. Communicates business needs effectively to Information Services for assistance in changes to the application. Assists with the design of user procedures.
  • Coordinates testing and validations in upgrades of systems. Assists with Upgrade testing. Analyzes impact on users and determines if additional training is required. Communicates with vendors to address problems and resolutions. Schedules sessions with users to view new billing systems and upgrades.
  • Completes assigned projects and tasks in an accurate and timely manner as reviewed by Management. Receives and completes special assignments from Management in an accurate and timely manner. When specified, a detailed report or document of findings, trends and/or outcomes is submitted to Management for review.
  • Actively participates in various organizational and departmental committees and teams. Participates in relevant quality or process improvement teams to meet Revenue Cycle objectives. Participates in Epic change control meetings as needed to support changes into Epic. Participates in Revenue Cycle Support departmental meetings. Acts as the communication link between teams/projects to ensure Revenue Cycle information is being shared with interdepartmental team members as leadership requests. 

Qualifications

Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption. 

  • Required H.S. Diploma or GED. Preferred Bachelor's Degree 
  • Required 3 years' experience with hospital information systems. Preferred experience with hospital information systems specific to Business Services and a thorough understanding of the hospital revenue cycle
