Texas Children's Hospital is Hiring a Research Statistician Near Houston, TX

Job Summary

We are searching for a Research Statistician -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for the supervision of data entry, study design, analysis and reporting of research studies and/or outcomes initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates data entry, analysis and reporting of research studies and/or quality and outcomes initiatives
  • Performs advanced statistical analyzes including multivariate techniques including analysis of variance, repeated measures designs, multiple and logistic regression, path, discriminant, and factor analysis, structural equation modeling
  • Provides input into the research methods, sample size calculation, and data analysis sections of research grant proposals
  • Works with the principal investigator to write the methods, sample size and power analyses, and data analysis sections for research proposals
  • Conducts ongoing research grant evaluation/supervision and/or outcomes analysis and monitoring
  • Works with faculty and hospital leadership to evaluate ongoing data collection, data entry, and data analysis on existing research grants or outcomes initiatives
  • Meets with investigators/requestors to understand problem to be studied and analyzed
  • Maintains familiarity and knowledge of professionally reported issues through such means as reading professional publications/journals

Qualifications

Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.

  • Ph D required
  • 3 years Research Statistician experience with participation on funded research grant, grant writing, manuscript preparation, submission and coordination of clinical research studies required
