Job description

The Bee Supply is looking for a motivated, hard-working, self-starter to work as a warehouse associate and a bee loader during our busy bee pickup season.

This job will include but is not limited to:

Warehouse Associate

The Bee Supply is looking for a motivated, hard-working, self-starter to work as a warehouse associate. The ideal person will enjoy working outdoors and in a non-climate-controlled warehouse, often with bees flying around.

The job will include but is not limited to:

· Driving a truck to pick up supplies

· Assembling and painting hive boxes and accessories

· Organizing and inventorying products in the warehouse

· Stocking the sales floor

· Making sugar bricks

· Operating hand trucks and forklift (we will help you get certified)

· Mowing/weeding

· General maintenance

· Dropping off orders at bee clubs

· Various other duties as assigned.

Background and drug testing required. Candidate must have a valid Texas driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving history. Ability to operate a truck and trailer preferred. Hours fluctuate throughout the year due to agricultural seasons. Due to this seasonal fluctuation candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule. Beekeeping experience a big plus.

Bee Loader

· Placing a protective entrance cover over the front of beehives, closing entrances on bee nucs, picking up and placing the hives and nucs into customer vehicles, interacting with customers, and other duties as assigned.

· Employees must be able and willing to repeatedly pick up hives weighing approximately 60 lbs. and nucs weighing approximately 30 lbs.

· Employees must be willing to work around bees while wearing protective gear.

· Bee pickup season is from mid-April through August.

· Employees must be available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays during bee pickup season. Applicants not available on those days need not apply.

· Background and drug test required.

· Beekeeping experience a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
