SUMMARY:

The Department of Engineering and Technology is seeking applicants for a 9-month Instructor position in engineering and technology, particularly for industrial engineering and technology management programs. This position will begin 9/1/2024.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Areas of teaching assignments include, but not limited to:

• engineering statistics,
• human factors engineering,
• systems engineering,
• engineering management,
• service systems analysis
• technology management program courses

Faculty are expected to have a current knowledge and experience of the industrial engineering and engineering management disciplines and related fields.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: an earned Doctorate from an ABET accredited U.S. institution with a major field of study in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or closely related discipline. (ABD will be considered but degree must be in-hand prior to the first day of class). Fluent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Experience in teaching industrial engineering, technology management, and/or engineering management disciplines
• Ability to: Multi-task and work well as part of a team.

PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

• Manufacturing/Healthcare/Supply Chain/Logistics Experience
• Professional certifications or licenses within industrial engineering, technology management, or engineering management fields
• Evidence of teaching excellence in higher education
• Experience with online course development and instruction
• Experience with or knowledge of ABET accreditation
• Graduate level teaching and advising
• Fluent written and oral communication skills
