Texas A&M AgriLife TechBuy Service Center service center provides over $2 million dollars annually of hardware, software and peripherals to the employees of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Research, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (TVMDL) in over 300 locations around the state of Texas. For more information on the TechBuy service center please visit https://techbuy.agrilife.org We are urgently hiring to fill Student Technician I positions in our office on Texas A&M University West Campus. Service center hours are 8AM – 5PM Monday through Friday, excluding campus holidays. All part time work will take place during regular service center hours. This is a great opportunity for anyone working toward a career in IT to get experience provisioning of both Windows and Apple OS based devices. We are seeking someone with a can-do attitude who is eager to learn new technologies and processes. Previous experience in customer service and IT support is preferred. Responsibilities: Performs order fulfillment tasks to include receiving, stocking, item picking, packaging, shipping, and documentation. Follows established system processes and procedures to provision systems on customer orders. Delivers customer orders using departmental vehicle. Maintains orderly work environment. Performs other duties as assigned. Preferred Education: High School Diploma or GED. Previous experience in customer service and IT support. Preferred Licenses and Certifications: Driver’s License.
