We have a full-time MEDICAL ASSISTANT- OPHTHALMOLOGY opportunity available for an experienced medical assistant, certified MA, certified nursing assistant, optometric technician, optician, or ophthalmic technician. A successful candidate for MEDICAL ASSISTANT- OPHTHALMOLOGY has the following:

• A high school diploma, (some college is excellent!)
• A committed work history that shows longevity and growth
• Experience in a fast-paced healthcare or medical office environment- specifically ophthalmic or optometric care. Other disciplines may be considered.
• Proven ability to establish effective working relationships with patients, technicians, physicians, and outside departmental staff
• Familiarly with computer software and the ability to learn new systems quickly (Electronic health record experience preferred)
• Able to remain focused and organized
• Able to stand with mobility for extended periods of time
• Considerable knowledge in Ophthalmology theory and practice preferred
• COA and/or COT certified - a HUGE plus
• The ability to work at different work locations during the day on occasion- clean DMV and/or transportation required.
