FULL TIME MEDICAL ASSISTANT- OPHTHALMOLOGY

We have a full-time MEDICAL ASSISTANT- OPHTHALMOLOGY opportunity available for an experienced medical assistant, certified MA, certified nursing assistant, optometric technician, optician, or ophthalmic technician. Are you looking to serve our patients working side by side with our physicians and providing direct patient care within a team to work to assist our doctors and our patients through prescreen testing, exam preparation and patience, positivity, and productivity.

A successful candidate for MEDICAL ASSISTANT- OPHTHALMOLOGY has the following:

  • A high school diploma, (some college is excellent!)
  • A committed work history that shows longevity and growth
  • Experience in a fast-paced healthcare or medical office environment- specifically ophthalmic or optometric care. Other disciplines may be considered.
  • Proven ability to establish effective working relationships with patients, technicians, physicians, and outside departmental staff
  • Familiarly with computer software and the ability to learn new systems quickly (Electronic health record experience preferred)
  • Able to remain focused and organized
  • Able to stand with mobility for extended periods of time
  • Considerable knowledge in Ophthalmology theory and practice preferred
  • COA and/or COT certified - a HUGE plus
  • The ability to work at different work locations during the day on occasion- clean DMV and/or transportation required.
  • An interest in self education and career growth. This is not a job; it is a healthcare career.
