CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING TECHNICIAN

Full-time entry level position performing sampling/testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt materials on construction projects throughout our Southeast Louisiana service area. Typical duties require 80 to 90 percent of time be spent performing tasks at field locations. Experience a plus.

Qualifications:

Earthwork and/or concrete construction and CMT laboratory soil, aggregate and concrete testing experience preferred but will train. NICET Certification, ACI Certification and Radiation Safety - Nuclear Density Gauge training a plus. Requirements include: Able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs; a safe driving record; willing to work weekends and overtime as required; willing to work on out of town assignments as required; Candidate must be currently authorized to work in the United States and have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have good math skills, have good organizational skills, a good attitude, get along well in a team environment and be safety minded in all aspects of his work. Individual should be physically fit and able to spend extended hours working outdoors in a wide range of climate conditions. Local candidates preferred; no relocation.
