Accounts Receivable Clerk - Full-Time

The Accounts Receivable Clerk at Test Products offers financial, administrative, and clerical assistance to our company. The ideal applicant will possess great knowledge in the industry and material, along with excellent communication ability, be able to manage and keep track of incoming payments, secure revenue by confirming and posting receipts, and ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of operations. There are other responsibilities that may be needed.

Compensation:

$19 hourly

Responsibilities:

Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. However, Accounts Receivable is expected to dedicate the time required to meet the company’s strategic plan.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creates invoices and account statements according to company practices
  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data in the accounting system
  • Enter Customer Quotes/Purchase Orders as Sales Orders in the accounting system
  • Enter shipping information from the Production Department in the accounting system to create invoices for material or services shipped or completed
  • Update customer portals with invoicing information and process for payment
  • Email invoices to customers from the accounting system
  • Verify discrepancies in payments and resolve clients’ billing issues
  • Prepares, posts, and verifies customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending invoice reminders and contacting clients
  • Assist Controller with Month End processes including preparing WIP reports and verifying jobs are closed and properly invoiced
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
  • Generates invoices and account statements in alignment with corporate standards
  • Executes daily financial transactions, comprising verifying, classifying, calculating, entering and saving accounts receivables' data in the relevant computer system
  • Types in Customer Quotes and/or Purchase Orders as Sales Orders into the accounting system
  • Enters shipping information supplied by the Production Department for invoicing of materials or services shipped or concluded
  • Updates customer portals with billings and initiates payment processes
  • Email bills to customers from the accounting program
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments and client billing queries
  • Completes, posts, and verifies customer payments and activities affiliated with accounts receivable
  • Aids Controller in monthly end processes counting coming up with WIP reports and verifying jobs are finished and correctly invoiced
  • Creates financial statements and reviews displaying accounts receivable status
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues
  • Effective ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-management, customers, and employees as needed
  • Proven working experience as Accounts Receivable Clerk
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts receivable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Strong data entry skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effective time management skills
