What to Expect

Much has been said about a future of "connected cars." At Tesla, we make it happen. We regularly send over-the-air software updates to our vehicle fleet, seamlessly delivering new features and improvements to our customers. Our mobile applications allow customers to interact with their cars via real-time, low-latency two-way communication. Today we remotely identify potential vehicle issues before a customer does-and often fix problems remotely too. To this end information and product security is of the utmost importance.

Tesla is looking for a highly motivated individual to manage existing and new automotive cybersecurity compliance programs in accordance with the evolving global regulatory landscape. In the role of a Technical Program Manager, this person will be responsible for managing projects in development, as well as maintaining compliance of operational assets. The ideal candidate can operate with autonomy and guide quality and timely fulfillment of compliance requirements. The TPM will be working with highly-skilled engineers to drive Tesla's cutting-edge EV technology towards cybersecurity compliance, and ensure that every vehicle we produce delivers a reliable and trustworthy automotive experience.

What You'll Do
  • Help ensure Tesla's vehicles meet cybersecurity compliance requirements
  • Coordinate between different teams, and set clear expectations about deadlines and responsibilities
  • Work with Tesla teams and external stakeholders to deliver compliance evidence
  • Exercise technical judgment in working with cross-functional teams
  • Communicate schedules, priorities, and status to all levels in the company
  • Balance business needs with quality and punctuality
  • Anticipate roadblocks and flag potential issues timely
  • Lead compliance initiatives and serve as a point of contact
  • Assist the teams in developing compliant automotive systems
What You'll Bring
  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
  • Experience in Program Management on technical cross-functional projects
  • Strong investigative and analytical problem solving skills
  • Experience managing execution and high quality product delivery
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • General awareness and understanding of cybersecurity principles and concepts
  • Knowledge of UNECE R155/R156, ISO 21434 and other automotive cybersecurity regulations and standards
  • Technical knowledge and experience
  • Automotive experience a plus but not required

Expected Compensation

$88,000 - $300,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
