Tesla's Energy engineering group islooking for a highly motivated individual to work as a Technical ProgramManager on the Cathode Programs team. This is a cross-functional role whichrequires coordination between many different groups within and outside ofTesla. You will drive the development and deployment of new internalmanufacturing lines, while also managing the ramp of production lines.

• Participate in initial equipment conceptual development and carefully balanceproduct specifications, process control requirements, layout complexity, cost,quality and lead-time limits
• Lay out new industrial electrical control panels which areNFPA79/NEC/UL508A compliant, and create electrical, pneumatic and fluidschematics
• Architect, write, and debug PLC logic with an emphasis on generatingcode that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable and reusable. PLCcode will interact with subsystems such as conveyors, robots, ManufacturingExecution System (MES), LabView/Golang, machine vision, and 3rd partyequipment
• Implement (ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA compliant) control reliable safety systemsfor safeguarding robots, gantries, conveyors, and other high volumemanufacturing equipment
• Generate aesthetically simple HMI screens for complex machinery whileproviding sufficient feedback for troubleshooting
• Manage electrical cabinet builds, field wiring, pneumatic and fluidplumbing
• Select and size electrical and electromechanical components such asservos
• Introduce automated processes into production, and train and Maintenanceand Production Teams to support after deployment into production
• Create machine interactions with plant-wide Manufacturing ExecutionSystem (MES) to communicate product acceptability, machine status, and processvariables

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Science, 6 year of relevant working experience, or equivalent
• PLCs (Preferred Siemens TIA Portal, or equivalentexperience in Allen Bradley Studio5000 or Beckhoff TwinCAT)
• Safety PLCs (Preferred SIMATIC Safety Integrated, orequivalent experience in Allen Bradley or Beckhoff TwinSAFE)
• Human Machine Interface (HMI / GUI - Ignition, SIMATICWinCC (TIA Portal))
• Proficiency with process integration andelectromechanical / mechatronic systems
• Familiarity with robot programming (Preferred Fanuc, orequivalent experience in Kuka and ABB)
• Experience with vision systems (Cognex Insight or KeyenceCVX/XGX)
• In depth knowledge of Electrical Standards (NFPA79,National Electric code, UL508A)
• Proficiency selecting appropriate circuit protectors, wireand cable, sensors, safety hardware, PLC hardware, remote I/O, VFD and servosystems
• Proficiency creating detailed electrical schematics inEPLAN or AutoCAD (EPLAN preferred)
