* Work with the Fire Protection Engineer to prepare project fire suppression design specification

* Produce code compliant fire suppression system design drawings and submittal packages within the limits of design philosophy, specifications, costs, and schedule using Revit

* Produce floor plans, one-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and details

* Perform and produce hydraulic calculations

* Develop REVIT families, standard details, and manage BIM files

* Perform design option analysis for cost efficiency, constructability, etc

* Develop and maintain updated library of symbols and drawings (templates) for use on future projects

* Maintain project drawing files, associated records and documentation in an orderly condition

* Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production

* Collaborate with other design disciplines, construction management teams, external consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives

* Assist with the review of RFI's and submittals during the construction administration portion of the project

* Perform regular field installation reviews and document deficiencies with corrective action

* Incorporate asbuilt drawings into record documents and verify code compliance

* Bachelor's or associate degree in drafting technology or related field with a minimum 4 years of experience with Revit preferred, or minimum 5 years of experience in design/drafting fire suppression systems

* NICET Level III or IV certification for fire suppression systems

* Proficiency in 2D/3D software, such as Auto CAD, Revit, Navisworks and Revizto

* Clear understanding and working knowledge of International Building Code, International Fire Code, International Mechanical Code and applicable NFPA standards (NFPA 13, 14, and 20 are required; understanding of additional applicable codes are a plus)

* Detailed understanding of fire suppression system components, system architecture, and configuration required

* Ability to read and review drawings from and coordinate with other disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure systems are installed in accordance with all applicable codes

* Ability to perform hydraulic calculations with little or no oversight

* Fire suppression license or ability to obtain required licenses

* Understanding of construction assemblies, how they are fabricated and installed

* Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels in a multi-discipline team environment

* Peer review drawing packages for code compliance and engineering best practice

* Ability to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced environment

* Ability to quickly learn new design and calculation software

* Strong communication skills required

* Ability to speak in a public forum

* Strong problem-solving skills

* Assist maintenance personnel with troubleshooting efforts
