The Sr. Cost Accountant,reporting to the Sr. Manager of Accounting for Tesla Energy, will interfacewith operatives and leaders across several of Tesla Energy's product offerings,and will work with multiple departments, including but not limited to manufacturing,Installation Operations and Supply Chain.

• Responsible for creating/maintaining several analytical toolsused by Accounting, Finance and manufacturing/installations
• Validate and analyze the cost of goods sold of several ofTesla's product offerings as part of the month-end close
• Partner with FP&A Finance and Eng team to ensure Bill ofMaterial accuracy including knowledge of cost reduction impact on financials
• Maintain phenomenal relationships with Business Partners andAccounting peers to address information reporting needs. Prepare Accountingschedules routinely and as requested for internal and external reporting requirements
• Perform variance analysis such as Purchase Price to Costvariance, cost revaluation, Invoice to PO price variances and work ordervariances
• Ensure process integrity withinManufacturing, Installations, Intercompany, and Inventory whileworking with cross-functional peers to resolve process issues
• Assist with and ensure successful quarterly and year end audits

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or equivalent
• CPA or MBA preferred
• 3 experience in Accounting or Finance preferablyin a manufacturing environment with evidence of exceptional ability
• Demonstrated mastery of ability to design/createmodels based on operational & financial data formanagement (Experience in SQL, Power Query & Power BI isrequired)
• Strong ability to assess problem situations to identify causes,gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and makerecommendations and/or resolve the problem
