What to Expect
Our Engineering Tools team is responsible for overseeing the setup, administration, management, and optimization of a diverse range of engineering tools vital to our software development processes. These tools include GitHub, Artifactory, Atlassian tools (such as Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket), Perforce and Polarion. We are currently seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team and contribute significantly to the enhancement of our tooling infrastructure. This role will play a pivotal part in implementing innovative solutions to optimize engineering tools infrastructure, drive automation, and lead development initiatives.
What You?ll Do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance custom tooling solutions to streamline software development processes, integrating with existing systems such as Github, Artifactory, Atlassian tools, Polarion and Perforce
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, DevOps engineers, and system administrators to understand requirements and implement effective tooling solutions
• Design and implement automation scripts, plugins, and extensions to optimize workflows and improve developer productivity
  Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of engineering tools to ensure smooth operation and minimize downtime
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to software development tools, proposing and implementing improvements as appropriate
• Provide technical support and training to team members on tool usage, configurations, and best practices

What You?ll Bring

• Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, Shell, or Groovy for automation and customization of tools
• Hands-on experience with source code management tools such as Github, and version control systems like Git
• Familiarity with build automation tools (e.g., Github actions, Jenkins) and package management systems (e.g., npm, Maven)
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization concepts, with hands-on experience in building, deploying, and managing Docker containers
• Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms for managing containerized applications at scale
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proactive mindset with a passion for learning and adopting new technologies to drive innovation

Expected Compensation
$104,000 - $348,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
