Responsible for the integration of industrialand commercial utility systems controls into new and existing facilities, includingserver and PLC setup, HMI development, programming, instrumentationconfiguration/calibration, system operation, and commissioning. A strongbackground in mechanical and chemical systems Instrumentation and Controlsdesign, construction, and programming is required for this role. Proven abilityto develop scalable server architectures for plant wide SCADA systems with a focuson operator needs and utility usage reporting to assure the responsiveness,reliability, serviceability, and efficiency of those systems meets the higheststandards.

• Maintain strong integration & communicationwith all internal and external stakeholders to ensure lessons learned areintegrated into current and future facilities
• Onsite support for multiple sites during theconstruction and energization of all Instrumentation and Controls equipment, aswell any mechanical, chemical, or electrical equipment that have factory orfield installed controls systems. Directly responsible for all networkconfiguration, programming, HMI development, wiring changes, testing, andcommissioning of Instrumentation and Controls systems on the projects you areassigned to
• Manage Database, Server, Folder architecture
• Lead project teams in the development of userinterface / user experience (UI/UX) components and architecture
• Capable of programming PLCs and developing UserInterface for facilities operations usability. Work closely with PLCdevelopment to optimize data exchange and general system usability
• Review and provide comments and feedback forongoing design projects to ensure lessons learned and user needs areincorporated in the completed design package and specifications
• Support development and implementation of highefficiency alarm rationalization techniques
• Audits facilities Instrumentation and Controlsperformance as well as systems operational issues/impacts in order to provideprocess or system modifications that can provide meaningful value
• Manages and audits design services performed byconsultants including preparing RFP scope and independent cost estimate,critically reviewing consultant proposals, negotiating cost, ensuringschedule/budget compliance, auditing scope conformance and quality, andreviewing consultant performance
• Manufacturing equipment design reviews and sitevisits to review construction of equipment and coordinate utilityconnections/designs

• Understanding and familiarity with calculating,sizing and selecting instrumentation and controls components and wiring
• Experience with operation of multiple types ofutility systems such as: Electrical Switchgear, Thermal Oxidizers, AirScrubbers, Dust Collectors, Heat Exchangers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Boilers,Pumps, Air Handling Units, Terminal Units, Fans / Blowers, Pumps, DOAS Units,Control Valves and Instrumentation, Hazardous Exhaust, Dehumidification Units,Heat Recovery Systems, Air Compressors/Dryers, Energy Savings Equipment,Electrical equipment, Hazardous chemical & wastestorage/containment/conveyance
• Familiarity/experience with AC and DC systems inindustrial manufacturing processes
• Comprehension of logic diagrams in theInternational Automation format for complex logic devices such as ProgrammableLogical Controller and Distributed Control System
• Identifying opportunities for innovation andmaking recommendations that are supported by the analysis and are consistentwith code and good engineering practice. Knowledge of relevant building codesand standards
• 5-8 years of experience as a hands-on ControlsEngineer or Applications Engineer working on automation and/orelectromechanical systems in a wide range of project types: industrial, missioncritical/data centers, high tech/R&D, bio-tech/pharmaceutical, or batterymanufacturing.
• Proficient in the use of Siemens TIA Portal andIgnition HMI
• Advanced proficiency in modern text-basedprogramming languages (Python, Java, C, VB)
• Advanced proficiency in database systems (MSSQL,MySQL, Access). Experience with any of the following: Profibus, Modbus,Kepware, MySQL, & High Performance HMI best practices
• Proficiency creating detailed process,electrical, pneumatic and fluid schematics in CAD (AutoCAD). Ability to use 3DCAD packages such as with Revit is a plus
