Responsible for managing the SCADA HMI integration ofmanufacturing utility systems into new and existing facilities to meet therequirements of the Cell manufacturing processes, including design development,operation, and maintenance. Strong background in electrical, mechanical andchemical systems operation is required. Proven ability to develop scalableserver architectures for plant wide SCADA systems with a focus on operatorneeds and utility usage reporting to assure the responsiveness, reliability,serviceability, and efficiency of those systems meets the highest standards.

• Maintain strong integration & communication with allinternal and external stakeholders to ensure lessons learned are integrated intocurrent and future facilities
• Lead project teams in the development of user interface /user experience (UI/UX) components and architecture
• Work closely with PLC development to optimize data exchangeand general system usability
• Manage Database, Server, Folder architecture. Supportdevelopment of high efficiency alarm rationalization techniques
• Audit facilities systems performance as well as systemsoperational issues/impacts to provide process or system changes that canprovide meaningful value
• Manages and audits design services performed by consultantsincluding preparing RFP scope and independent cost estimate, criticallyreviewing consultant proposals, negotiating cost, ensuring schedule/budgetcompliance, auditing scope conformance and quality, and reviewing consultant performance
• Reviews of Instrumentation & Controls shop drawings andsubmittals

• 3 to 8 years of experience as a hands-on Controls Engineeror Applications Engineer working on automation and/or electromechanical systems.Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field (Electrical Engineering, MechanicalEngineering, Control Systems, Computer Science and Engineering, MechatronicEngineering, Automation Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience
• Advanced proficiency in modern text-based programminglanguages (Python, Java, C, VB). Advanced proficiency in database systems(MSSQL, MySQL, Access). Advanced proficiency in programming industrial processand manufacturing equipment
• Understanding and familiarity with control and operation ofmany of the following systems: Electrical Metering, Thermal Oxidizers, AirScrubbers, Dust Collectors, Heat Exchangers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Boilers,Pumps, Air Handling Units, Terminal Units, Fans / Blowers, Pumps, DOAS Units,Control Valves and Instrumentation, Hazardous Exhaust, Dehumidification Units,Heat Recovery Systems, Air Compressors/Dryers, Energy Savings Equipment,Electrical equipment, MV & LV Electrical distribution, Hazardous chemical& waste storage/containment/conveyance
• Experience with: Human Machine Interface (HMI / GUI -Ignition, Siemens Comfort Panel, AB Panelview, FactoryTalk, LabView), PLCs(Siemens, Allen Bradley, GE, Koyo), Field bus Networks (ProfiNet, DeviceNet,Ethernet/IP, Safety rated field bus networks), Serial communication (RS-232,RS-422, RS-485, ProfiBus, BacNet) between PLCs and instruments and microcontrollers,Selecting appropriate circuit protectors, wire and cable, sensors, safetyhardware, PLC hardware, remote I/O, VFD and instrumentation, Programming andtuning variable frequency drives and Proficiency creating detailed process,electrical, pneumatic and fluid schematics in CAD (AutoCAD)
• Capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneouslyand directing and overseeing junior staff work for same projects
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards. Familiarity/experiencewith AC and DC systems in industrial manufacturing processes
• Identifying opportunities for innovation and makingrecommendations that are supported by detailed analysis and are consistent withcode and good engineering practice
