What to Expect

This position can sit out of any collision center within the western United Sates; California, Oregon, Washington etc.

The Manufacturing Engineering - GlobalRepair Business and Technical Solutions team is seeking a Controls Engineer tofocus on supporting the scaling of our operations and services provided. The Controls Engineer definessolutions to technical challenges and will be the key liaison betweenOperations and Manufacturing Engineering teams allowing projects to be executedwith operational risk and readiness in mind. The engineer also has intimateknowledge of project interdependencies and can engage cross-functional teams asrequired. Technical engineering knowledge is crucial to be able to effectivelydefine and manage project and operational KPIs, assess technical and commercialrisk, and critically challenge engineering decisions made in a cross-functionalsetting.

What You'll Do
  • Define, implement and drive project requirements, workflows and plans while managing timelines, resources, communications, quality, risks, uncovering roadblocks, defining critical paths, identifying resource constraints, and any other issues that arise
  • Finalize project scope, define initial assumptions, andsecure project resources and monitor budgetary and CAPX spend
  • Work with business leaders, program managers andexecutives to identify the success criteria of the project
  • Provide insight around potential risks and opportunities,resolve conflict, initiate resolution and deliver results
  • Identify and document all project milestones anddeliverables and keep project plans up to date at all times, including resourceallocations, tracking hours, monitoring schedules, milestones, deliverables,updating percentage completion, etc
  • Continuously monitor and measure project processes andactivities to identify and communicate potential issues, risks, or problems ina timely fashion and provide corrective action options to drive to resolution
  • Lead cross-functional teams including management andexecutives. Includes resource &dependency alignment, coordination of activities, and transparent communicationof project status and risk
  • Escalate schedule delays due to issues and risks and trackand manage change requests to scope and obtain approval if necessary
  • Lead onsite installation and commissioning efforts and conductproject evaluations, post-mortems, and drive process change to incorporatelearning
  • Create formal project communication plans key projectmetrics and dashboards for project status communication
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5 years of program/project management experience in afast paced, highly fluid environment or other evidence of exceptional ability
  • Experience with PLC programming along with experiencewith robot teaching Fanuc/Kuka
  • Experience with vision systems and knowledge of SCADA andIgnition development
  • Basic understanding of GD&T and mechanical design forproject input and demonstrated, applied experience delivering complex programsand projects
  • Experience in Production/Manufacturing environment and experienceworking with complex electromechanical assembly lines
  • Proficiency in Confluence, Jira along with familiarity inAgile principles - Scrum, Kanban etc
  • Self-organized, outstanding written and verbalcommunication skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with stakeholders, Product &Engineering Managers to keep everyone aligned
  • Travel required -20-40% depending on project workload

Expected Compensation

$80,000 - $258,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
