Tesla Collision is looking for a dynamic professional with a successful track record in people and process management to join one of the most innovative vehicle brands globally. As the Collision Center Back of House Supervisor, you will be at the forefront of our collision shop floor teams. Your role involves leading a motivated team of technicians to provide an exceptional service experience, achieving outstanding results, and ensuring operational efficiency in our collision centers. The position demands a keen understanding of production systems and collision shop workflow, with an emphasis on critical thinking and root cause analysis.

What You'll Do

Supervise and coach technical employees to achieve quality and service goals, maintain comprehensive shop records and inventories, and ensure a smooth workflow in the collision center
Define and systematically improve work standards with input from the team, while leading, coaching, and developing a highly engaged team of technicians
Collaborate with the Collision Manager to establish targets for quality, speed, and cost aligned with customer and business needs
Monitor employee compliance with safety regulations and the collision center's safety program, resolve technical and personnel problems, schedule employees effectively to meet collision repair needs, and ensure adherence to company policies regarding vacation and time off
Select team members, ensure they receive required training, and conduct regularly scheduled one-on-one developmental meetings to facilitate professional development and career progression
Monitor training needs/requirements of the team and individuals, coordinating necessary training in partnership with training team resources
Provide effective daily communication to keep all team members aligned with common goals, and communicate issues affecting the service center and overall service organization to employees

What You'll Bring

7-10 years Collision technical aptitude or experience, preferred
Prior leadership experience in a collision-focused industry, preferred
Demonstrate a commitment to meeting deadlines and being accountable for both quality and quantity of work
Ability to lead group root cause problem-solving activities and swiftly develop countermeasures
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to effectively communicate with customers when necessary
1-3 years of industrial supervisory or similar leadership experience, preferred; experience with Microsoft Office and a solid understanding of repair estimates
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required

Expected Compensation

$68,400 - $205,200/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
