What to Expect
As a Tesla Cell Recycling Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability of a wide array of manufacturing equipment. You will apply your technical skills to install, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems, and factory automation. You will work with the highest caliber process and equipment engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and minimize or eliminate downtime. Tesla's Equipment Maintenance Technicians are also the first-responding problem solvers who manage machine breakdown recoveries to keep production running.
What You'll Do
  • Provide day-to-day coverage for production line equipment,responding promptly to alarms, breakdowns, and production requests to minimizedowntime
  • Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, andcommunicate actions taken to the team
  • Attain Journeyman Level proficiency on all assignedmachines, overseeing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting/repair,cleanliness, and equipment escalation
  • Take initiative to enhance preventive maintenance documentsand schedules under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor and Leads
  • Perform major equipment repairs and rebuilds, includingsome weekends and holidays
  • Efficiently utilize manufacturing systems (MES, SparesInventory, Issue Tracking) for effective operations
  • Collaborate with Process and Equipment engineering andother cross-functional groups to address maintenance issues, enhance equipmentreliability, review procedures, and minimize downtime
What You'll Bring
  • StrongAllen Bradley PLC experience desired
  • Areasof specialization: electrical/electronics, mechanical/machining, orautomation/PLC
  • Provenability to create and maintain a positive atmosphere in collaborative workteams
  • Effectiveworkload management and contribution to a positive, team-oriented workenvironment
  • Expertisein troubleshooting automation, conveyance, and electromechanical systems
  • Proficientin using various hand and portable tools, as well as general machining andwelding
  • Familiaritywith common workplace software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), along withthe ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and electricalschematics Willingness to perform shift and overtime as required, and theability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to work in hazardous areas, handle chemicals,and navigate confined spaces, adhering to safety protocol
  • Wear a full-face air-purifying respirator while performingtasks, maintaining safety standards throughout employment
