About Us

The Terre Haute Humane Society is a respected and established animal welfare organization dedicated to the care, protection, and advocacy for animals in Terre Haute and Vigo County, Indiana. As part of our commitment to improving animal welfare, we are excited to announce that construction of new low-cost veterinary clinic aimed at providing affordable and accessible veterinary care to pets in need is almost complete. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled veterinarian to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of animals and their families.

Responsibilities

As the Veterinarian at our low-cost clinic, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality veterinary services to a diverse clientele. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive medical examinations and diagnoses for pets.
  • Developing treatment plans and providing medical care, vaccinations, and preventive treatments.
  • Performing spay/neuter surgeries and other routine surgical procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, providing education on pet health and wellness.
  • Collaborating with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.
  • Provide veterinary services to the animals housed in the Terre Haute Humane Society

Qualifications

We are looking for a dedicated veterinarian who is passionate about animal welfare and has a commitment to providing quality care to pets in need. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Indiana.
  • Strong medical and surgical skills, with a focus on spay/neuter procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse clientele.
  • Compassion and empathy for both animals and their owners.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach to veterinary care

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
