Terran Orbital is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator who will be responsible for supporting the entire procurement lifecycle for the domestic team. You will take part in subcontract negotiation, pre-award proposal support, administration of subcontracts, and analyzing estimates of service, material, equipment, and production costs. Success in the role involves being able to juggle multiple tasks at once, positive collaboration with stakeholders and counterparts, and excellent time management skills across competing priorities. Other responsibilities include monitoring company performance on routine contractual obligations, originating all company correspondence of contractual significance, and maintaining files and systems of record documentation. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Negotiate, draft, and administer subcontracts of differing dollar values, risk, and complexity (T&M, CPFF, FP, subaward, etc.) with US and foreign entities, ensuring compliance on cost, schedule, legal, and performance aspects under general supervision. 
  • Provide strategy input and advise internal stakeholders on procurement issues in support of company business operations. 
  • Support new business development initiatives including the negotiation of non-disclosure and teaming agreements. 
  • Manage pre-award procurement activities to include reviewing the Client RFP to assess procurement risks, drafting, and issuing RFPs to subcontractors and evaluating responses, negotiating price and terms and conditions with subcontractors, and supporting proposal color team reviews. 
  • Maintain CPSR-like compliant file documentation to include cost/price analyses. 
  • Develop intellectual capital and deliver procurement training to internal clients. 
  • Support special projects and process improvement activities with company-wide impact.

 Qualification And Skills

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred; preferably in business, finance, or a related field with a minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in subcontracts administration working for a federal contractor or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have good understanding of FAR regulations and how they relate to subcontract management as well as experience managing various types of subcontracts including IDIQ, CPAF, CPFF, T&M, and FFP.
  • Experience managing large IDIQ type subcontracts is a plus.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and demonstrate strong time management skills and be able to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage shifting priorities.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain professional relationships with peers, suppliers, and customers, and contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
  • Must have excellent MS Word and MS Excel skills. Experience with MS365 is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills with multiple disciplines

Salary Range $68,770 - $116,193

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Physical Demands

An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking. This would require the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. This position is generally sedentary, with substantial computer usage.

Work Environment

The job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
