Job Overview:

Terraform manufactures metal and wood products for the landscape trade in the NYC metro area. We build custom planters, pergolas, cabinetry and other architectural elements featured on NYC's finest rooftops. All our products are made in our clean and modern shop in West Hurley by a staff of season craftspeople. The ideal candidate has experience fabricating metal and/or wood objects and has excellent mechanical aptitude. Experience with press brake work, welding, rolling and forming metal is all relevant. We create all our working drawings in house in Solidworks so the ability to read plans is essential.

Responsibilities:

- Utilize power tools and metal working equipment to fabricate and assemble various items

- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements

- Perform measurements using precision instruments

- Ensure compliance with codes and standards during the fabrication process

- Work with sheet metal to create custom pieces

- Rig and install finished products as needed

- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise

- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read blueprints

- Familiarity with materials and standards related to fabrication work

- Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques
