Job Overview
The Consolidation Warehouse Associate at TerraCycle Aurora HQ will take part in our Waste-In and Waste-Out operation by handling card board boxes filled with different recycling materials and consolidating like-materials into gaylord containers. This team member will work closely with the Waste Supervisor and Production Manager to prioritize daily tasks while working in a safe and productive work environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to forklift operations, heavy lifting, equipment operation, material sortation, etc.
Primary Responsibilities – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Day-To-Day – Opening cardboard boxes, emptying the materials into gaylord containers, picking full pallets off the line and moving them to designated storage areas, queuing outbound loads for outbound shipment. Strong willingness to be a utility player and help wherever needed.
Ensure company compliance -- Implement company procedures for the sortation, compliance, and consolidation of recycling waste, while enforcing the importance of a clean working environment
Adaptability – Work is typically performed in a dynamic environment that requires sensitivity to changing goals, priorities, or initiatives.
Communication – Seeing someone who is not afraid to ask questions. This is a fast-paced job where you must be cognizant of the materials you are handling to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Experience in forklift operation and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
