Terra State Community College is Hiring a LPN to RN Program Coordinator, GRANT FUNDED Near Fremont, OH

Position Summary:Oversees the LPN to RN program recruitment. Create partnerships with existing community social service organizations that provide support and connect the student with the available programs that reduce barriers to program completion. Assists students with enrollment in the program, and financial assistance and acts as a success coach for students throughout their time in the program. Work with students throughout their time in the program to understand their career interests and assist in placing them in clinical sites that align with their long-term goals.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Attends recruiting events for potential LPN to RN students.
  • Works with students to assess financial needs and helps them apply for financial aid and/or funding through the grant.
  • Keeps records of the students progress throughout the program,
  • Creates a success plan for each student so they are successful in the program.
  • Works with the grant coordinators on the financial assistance application.
  • Supports the mission of the program, division, and College.

  • N/A
Education and/or Work Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with Financial Aid
  • Experience in healthcare or social work preferred
  • Experience working in higher education preferred
Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one, in small groups, and in classroom situations.
  • Proficient in word-processing and presentation software, internet, and e-mail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of students.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise students.
  • Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a combination of days/evening/weekend schedules.
