Terra Blanca Winery and Estate Vineyard is an ultra-premium family owned and operated winery and vineyard located on World Renowned Red Mountain with a second Tasting Room located in downtown Spokane, Washington. Our Spokane Tasting Room is open year-round Tuesday - Saturday, offering wine tasting and small plates along with special wine events.

Terra Blanca produces luxury class wines and we are cultivating experiences to match. We are looking for a Tasting Room Manager who understands the luxury experience and personal hospitality and can maintain that approach in all aspects of our guests’ experience. We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated, upbeat, positive, energetic, personable, hard-working fun-loving individual to join our team here at Terra Blanca.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

· Train & supervise all Tasting Room Staff by promoting a fun and efficient work environment.

· Open and close tasting room as scheduled.

· Management of the tasting room’s point of sale system.

· Assist in ensuring wine and merchandise is always stocked and displayed in an organized and eye-catching manner.

· Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.

· Ensure accuracy of guest orders and provide prompt and friendly service.

· Increase direct-to-consumer sales and profits.

· Promote and execute increase in wine club memberships.

· Share knowledge about all wines in an open and friendly manner with the goal of helping customers develop enthusiasm and appreciation for Terra Blanca wines.

· Continual growth and an enthusiastic desire to learn about grape-growing, winemaking, and food and wine experiences.

· In charge of prospecting new business using creative & effective marketing strategies for increasing daily Tasting Room traffic.

Qualification Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent. College preferred, specifically in Hospitality Business Management or related field.

· Minimum 3 years of relevant Hospitality or Retail management.

· Must have a Class 12 MAST permit and a Food and Beverage service worker’s permit within 30 days of employment.

· Ability to read, write and speak English well; bilingual any other language a plus.

· Knowledge of wine and wine production is preferred.

· Experience in luxury consumer product sales is a plus.

· Ability to maintain a positive “can do” attitude.

· Must be reliable, punctual and able to work a flexible schedule when needed. Some nights and weekends will be required.

· Self-starter personality and the ability to work effectively with-out direct supervision is crucial and required.

· Exceptional leadership, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

· High energy and excellent communication skills, to include public speaking, are a must.

· Candidates must be able to multi-task, be a team player and educate Terra Blanca staff with assertiveness and guidance.

Physical Requirements

· Must be 21 years of age or older.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

· Must be comfortable working on feet for long periods of time.
