We’d love to add you as a Fluid Tech to work in Permian Basin and Surrounding Areas. This Fluid Tech provides technical expertise and support for the Water Treatment Technology Team. The Fluid Tech will be responsible for set-up, commissioning/startup, field operation and troubleshooting of the Water Treatment Unit services which includes CLO2, filtration and tank solid separation equipment. This role serves as a key member of the Water Treatment Technology Team and takes direction from the CTO, Water Treatment Technology or Director of Operations.

Essential Functions

• Proper use of personal protective equipment
• Compatibility testing of
  • pH/water analysis (iron, sulfate, chloride testing)
  • Acid titration
  • Guar gel hydrating/viscosity verification formulas
  • Liquid Additive pump calibration formulas
  • Pro Bor (crosslink) break tests
• Distinguish between cationic/anionic based chemicals.
• Operate Chandler and Grace viscometers in the lab and on location
• Hydrometer testing
• Thermometer reading
• Sand sieve analysis
• Bucket testing on Liquid Additive pumps
• Verify/identify frac chemicals to be pumped as proposed on and for job
• Review and identify correct bulk (chemical) containers at location
• Collects chemical straps (amounts used) at the conclusion of each stage and provides them to the expeditor team
• Coordinate reordering of chemicals to maintain sufficient amount
• Communicate safety practices to third party vendor personnel
