As a Land Titles Clerk 2, you will provide comprehensive clerical support to external clients and internal staff to help facilitate an accurate, timely, and efficient flow of documents and information through Teranet Manitoba and Personal Registry.

Regional and / or functional area variations may occur in the degree and frequency of some of the duties in this position.

The position may be assigned to different work areas or to serve as a team member on projects as the need arises.

What You Will Be Doing

Client Service Duties :

Provide exceptional customer service and respectful solutions to all stakeholders, internal and external to the organization.

Maintain statistics related to daily client interactions and transactions.

Open, sort and route incoming mail, answer correspondence (including email), sort and prepare outgoing mail via internal client boxes or for MDA, Canada Post and courier services.

Check Registration Details Application (RDA) forms and Service Request forms for completeness and accuracy.

Research legal descriptions, update records and complete service request orders in a timely and accurate manner.

Process searches, communicate search result verbally and submit the transaction for distribution.

Assist with document workflow as required within the functional departments.

Operate office equipment, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, microfilm readers and personal computers.

Compile, copy, sort and file records of office activities, business transactions and other activities.

Supports the process of reordering office supplies on an as needed basis.

Payments / Registration :

Accurately record all incoming paper documents that meet registration requirements.

Process all transactions, including payment for registrations and services through the appropriate financial system.

Ensure all payments meet PCI compliance standards.

Accurately reconcile daily transaction and ensures all Builders’ Liens have been processed prior to daily registration closing.

Some roles may require the preparation of bank deposits, including depositing funds at financial institutions.

About You

You have previous experience providing customer service in an office setting and are comfortable reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.

You work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and you possess exceptional data-entry skills.

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to ensure customer satisfaction and be an effective team player.

You have strong computer and website navigation abilities and you can quickly learn various databases and applications in a multi-tasking environment.

You’re analytical and problem-solving expertise and experience include the proven ability to assess issues and problems, gather relevant information, create a plan and / or recommendations and solve the issue or problem.

Experience with land titles or the Personal Property Registry is a definite asset.
