Tepco Solutions is Hiring a Mid-Level Turnaround P6 Scheduler (3-5 years) Near Mont Belvieu, TX

We are currently seeking a Mid-Level TAR Scheduler (3-5 years) for a long-term opportunity on-site in Mont Belvieu, TX. This position is slated to begin in early October 2023 and go through September 2024 with the possibility of an extension. Please see additional job details and requirements below.
  • Full-Time, W2
  • Non-Exempt, all hours over 40/week are paid at time and a half
  • No Per Diem, No Sponsorship

  • Target Start- October 2nd, 2023
  • Duration- September 29th 2024 (possible extension)
Position Summary: The Turnaround P6 Scheduler plays a critical role in the planning and execution of turnaround projects and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules using Primavera P6 software. The TAR Scheduler collaborates closely with cross-functional teams during both the planning and execution phases to ensure project timelines are met and that all aspects of the project are accurately reflected in the schedule. This role requires a strong understanding of Primavera, turnaround events, project scheduling principles, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning Phase:
    Develop and establish the scheduling infrastructure for each turnaround project, including activity codes, resources, WBS nodes, and more.
    Import jobs into Primavera P6 and establish logical ties, coding, and resource loading/leveling for all work in the schedule.
    Facilitate schedule reviews with the Turnaround Management Team (TMT) and Operations.
    Collaborate with planners and operations teams to develop decommissioning/commissioning plans for each system.
    Work closely with the cost group and planners to create histograms and determine start/stop dates for necessary contractors.
2. Execution Phase:
    Follow assigned contractors/jobs and continuously verify progress throughout all project phases.
    Monitor the productivity of contractors throughout the turnaround project.
    Monitor and ensure contractors' adherence to safety practices.
    Supervise and track contractor headcount to ensure it aligns with the work fronts.
    Collaborate with inspection teams to identify any additional or discovery work.
    Coordinate with the cost group on Authorization for Work (AWR) costs.
3. Ongoing Efforts:
    Maintain a clean and non-repetitious scheduling database.
    Ensure a safe and sanitary work environment for all site personnel.
    Continuously monitor and evaluate clients scheduling practices and recommend improvements as necessary.
    Provide assistance in potential capital work assignments as required.
Qualifications:
    Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Suite Products.
    Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
    Previous experience as a Scheduler in a turnaround or maintenance environment.
    Strong understanding of TAR scheduling principles and practices.
    Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project schedules.
    Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to ensuring a safe work environment.
Reporting Structure:
    The Turnaround Scheduler will report to the Lead Turnaround Specialist during execution and to the Project Controls Lead during the planning phase.
