Tential is Hiring an UX/UI Designer Near Baltimore, MD
Looking for an experienced data dashboard designer and flexible team player to enter a development project already underway. Detailed requirements, wireframes, and user stories have been established, and we are looking for a UX designer to establish both the look and feel of the platform as well as to help implement custom visual feedback unique to a novel, next-generation marketplace platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of useful, usable, and desirable products in a team environment from concept to execution. Work with leadership in design planning and goal creation.
- Understand customers and their needs through customer research and feedback.
- Design the architecture, interface, and interaction flow of services and experiences. Facilitate the design process, and present and iterate design solutions.
- Communicate design decision rationale.
- Develop, pitch, and validate long-term design strategies.
- Continually iterate and evolve the way we design for and learn from our customers and educate design & PM peers.
- 5 years of experience in product design or UX.
- Comfortable being a solo design contributor, with the support of an experienced development team.
- Expert in custom dashboard and component design for data driven platforms.
- Design system technical documentation: units, semantics, responsive behaviors.
- BS Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience designing across multiple platforms and working with multidisciplinary teams to create user flows, and wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes.
- Insatiably curious, highly collaborative, and a great listener.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Passion for product-centric, UX-driven innovation.
- Experience creating & executing user research plans, evangelizing results, and demonstrating resultant designs measurably improve customer experiences.
- Experience in Next.js / TailwindCSS (w/ plugins) / Custom Visualization design
- Familiarity with Neumorphism and similar design trends and implementations
- Mobile first design process
- Demonstrable ability to convert design vision into a phased implementation plan
- Demonstrable ability to facilitate design-thinking sessions with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experienced using higher-end graphic design tools (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Excellent storyteller, adept at on-the-fly storyboarding.
- Extremely proficient leveraging at least one behavioral analytics platform to create compelling narratives.
- Experience working with AWS
- Experience working with DynamoDB or comparable data platforms.
