Job Details
We are seeking a skilled and experienced programmer to join our clients team in a REMOTE capacity. Our client operates within the financial sector, utilizing mainframe technology to support critical banking applications.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, research, analyze, and troubleshoot programming bugs.
- Utilize expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL to develop and maintain mainframe applications.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
- Provide support for FIS/Systematics Core Banking application, if applicable.
- Must be able to work a W2 Contract ( we can't do C2C).
- Proficient in COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in a mainframe environment is required.
- Knowledge or background in FIS/Systematics Core Banking application is a plus.
- This position requires participation in a rotational on-call schedule for nightly batch support after initial training.
- On-call rotation occurs for approximately 2 weeks every 3 months.
- The on-call schedule includes primary responsibility for one week and secondary responsibility for an additional week.
