Job Description: Bartender
Reports to: Front of House Supervisor/Assistant General Manager
Classification: Hourly/Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
A Bartender is responsible for exceeding customer expectations through friendly, prompt and attentive service tailored to each customer’s preference. A Bartender will efficiently craft each drink to perfection and serve customers responsibly. The Bartender utilizes their extensive knowledge of the food and drink menu to recommend and reinforce customer orders. A Bartender serves as a resource for Servers in the restaurant to answer questions about our Spirited Drinks. The Bartender is committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards at all times and prepares drinks with proper safety equipment, tools and recipe specifications.

Requirements
Required:
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Valid BASSET (Beverage Alcohol Sellers and Servers Education and Training) card and Food Handler's Certification as required by IL Food Safety Regulations
Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written)
Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance
Strong task and time management abilities
Ability to quickly and efficiently prepare complicated cocktail recipes.
Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques
Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred:
Previous Bartending experience preferred but not required.
