Tendit Group is Hiring an Air Sweeper Operator Near Denver, CO
- Operated street sweeping equipment and other related heavy equipment or tools to sweep streets, gutters, medians, parking lots, courtyards, and public works yards; cleared debris from right-of-way; cleaned storm drains and inlets.
- Identification and reporting of hazardous conditions.
- Adjust and operate brooms, guards, and other related auxiliary equipment; change brooms as necessary.
- Inspecting equipment for safety and mechanical defects; checking fuel, fluid levels, air pressure, and hydraulic systems; performing preventive maintenance and reporting the need for required maintenance; inspecting auxiliary equipment for proper operating condition and safety.
- Cleaning of the sweeper and auxiliary equipment as necessary.
- Responding to emergency clean-ups, including spills; performing special sweeping runs as necessary.
- Must be required to work outside regular hours on-call and in emergencies.
- Performing snow removal duties on routes designated by the supervisor.
- Additional Duties as assigned.
- A current & valid driver’s license with three years of driving experience is required; CDL is a plus.
- At least one year of experience operating street sweeping equipment is preferred.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure with unexpected occurrences and delays.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent attendance and reliability.
- Available for Flexible scheduling. Our work schedules and start times vary with the weather.
- Fluent English and Spanish speaking ability is preferred.
- A willingness to come to work every day and find ways to improve from the previous day.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, extreme noise, odors, heights, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials.
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to climb ladders and work off the ground.
- Will require driving between company locations.
- Overnight travel- 10% or less
