Position Overview

As a Retail Associate, you are the face of our store and play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences. Your primary responsibilities include assisting customers, providing product information, completing sales transactions, and maintaining the appearance of the store. You are responsible for ensuring that each customer leaves with a positive impression of our brand and products.

Duties / Responsibilities

Customer Assistance: Greet customers warmly, identify their needs, and provide assistance in finding products, answering questions, and offering solution. Assisting customers in an engaging and knowledgeable manner.

Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our products and services, staying up-to-date with the latest information, features, and promotions. Stay knowledgeable about product features, benefits, and current promotions to passionately communicate with customers.

Sales: Engage customers proactively to maximize sales opportunities, upsell products, and meet or exceed sales targets. Participate in training programs and stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge.

Cashier Duties: Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point of sale (POS) system. Maintain cash handling accuracy and security.

Merchandising: Help maintain the store's visual appearance by restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring products are neatly organized and well-presented. Maintain a clean and organized retail space, ensuring products are creatively displayed and easily accessible to customers.

Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels, conducting stock checks, and informing management of low inventory or replenishment needs.

Customer Service: Address customer inquiries, complaints, and returns with a positive and upbeat attitude, ensuring complete customer satisfaction. Resolve issues effectively and escalate as necessary.

Loss Prevention: Be vigilant to prevent theft and report any suspicious activity or security breaches to store management.

Store Cleanliness: Keep the store clean and organized, including cleaning shelves, displays, and customer areas as needed.

Promotions and Marketing: Assist in executing in-store promotions, including setting up signage and promotional materials.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a cohesive and positive work environment. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the retail space.

Participate in building Ten Rooms Culture: A concept where each department within an organization cultivates its own unique atmosphere and characteristics, contributing collectively to the overall organizational culture.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and team members, while bringing your own unique personality to the table.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, all with a smile on your face.
• A positive attitude and a genuine passion for creating a fun and personalized shopping experience for customers, spreading joy with every interaction.
• Familiarity with point of sale (POS) systems and other relevant technology, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing product lines and promotions.
• Attention to detail in maintaining store appearance and cleanliness.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30lbs boxes or products as needed.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in the retail industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not always required.
• Basic math skills to calculate totals, discounts, and cash handling procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
