Position Overview
As the Head Bartender at Ten Rooms Ybor, you will lead our bar team in crafting exceptional cocktails and providing an unforgettable beverage experience to our discerning guests. Your expertise in mixology, creativity, and commitment to delivering top-tier service will contribute to the restaurant's reputation for excellence. You will be responsible for curating an exquisite cocktail menu, managing bar operations, and training and supervising the bar staff to ensure every aspect of the bar service meets the highest standards of quality and innovation.
Duties / Responsibilities
Mixology Expertise: Showcase your mixology skills by designing unique and signature cocktails that reflect creativity, balance, and innovation while maintaining high-quality standards. Develop, and curate a diverse and innovative cocktail menu that complements the restaurant's culinary offerings reflecting current beverage trends.
Beverage Presentation: Ensure that all cocktails and beverages are prepared and presented with precision, aesthetics, and adherence to Ten Rooms standards.
Ingredient Sourcing: Source and procure premium ingredients, spirits, and garnishes, emphasizing quality, seasonality, and sustainability in our beverage offerings.
Guest Engagement: Provide personalized and knowledgeable beverage recommendations, engaging with guests to create memorable beverage experiences. that keeps guests coming back.
Quality Assurance: Maintain strict quality control measures ensuring that all beverages are prepared with precision, overseeing the taste, presentation, aesthetics, and adherence to Ten Rooms standards.
Service Coordination: Collaborate closely with the front-of-house and culinary team to ensure that beverage service seamlessly complements the culinary journey.
Guest Education: Educate guests on the unique aspects of the cocktail menu, sharing insights into flavor profiles, pairings, and the art of mixology.
Bar Ambiance: Contribute to the ambiance and upkeep of the bar area, ensuring it remains inviting, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing.
Safety and Compliance: Uphold food safety, alcohol service, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized bar environment. Ensure compliance with all applicable alcohol regulations.
Continuous Improvement: Stay at the forefront of mixology trends and beverage developments. Continuously experimenting with new techniques and ingredients, researching, and infusing innovative approaches to elevate the cocktail program.
Collaboration: Collaborate with management to develop and execute promotional events and special cocktail nights to attract new customers and retain regulars.
Professional Presentation: Maintain a polished appearance, adhering to dress code and grooming standards, to reflect the elegance and sophistication of Ten Rooms.
Participate in Building Ten Rooms Culture: A concept where each department within an organization cultivates its own unique atmosphere and characteristics, contributing collectively to the overall organizational culture.
Supervisor responsibilities
Beverage Program Leadership: Develop and execute an exceptional beverage program that aligns with Ten Rooms dining experience, featuring creative cocktails, curated wine selections, and premium spirits.
Inventory and Cost Control: Manage bar inventory, including ordering supplies, tracking stock levels, and minimizing wastage while maximizing cost efficiency.
Team Management: Lead, train, and mentor the bar staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, creativity, and excellence in beverage service. Leading by example ensuring bar team are knowledgeable about the menu, skilled in mixology techniques, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Head Bartender or a senior role in an upscale high-volume cocktail bar
Extensive knowledge of mixology, including a deep understanding of spirits, presentation of ability to create unique and innovative cocktails
Strong leadership and team management skills to guide and inspire the bar team and maintain the highest standards of professionalism
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with guests, providing recommendations, and training staff
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to connect with guests
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities
Dedication to upholding the restaurant's reputation for excellence and delivering a memorable beverage experience. Strong organizational abilities for managing inventory, ordering supplies, and minimizing wastage
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in the restaurant industry
A passion for the art of mixology and a commitment to professional growth and learning
Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and beverage-related software is advantageous
Preferred Qualifications
Exceptional mixology expertise, including a profound understanding of spirits, cocktail creation, and presentation
Must possess proper certifications and licenses as required by local liquor laws
Proven experience as a Head Bartender or similar role in a high-volume cocktail bar
