Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks
- Operate coffee equipment such as espresso machines and grinders
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the café, including the coffee preparation area and customer seating area
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and be able to answer customer questions
- Upsell additional products and promote café specials
- Handle cash and operate the POS system accurately
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and food safety procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso preparation
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work
