Tempositions Health Care is Hiring a Registered Nurse Near Dobbs Ferry, NY

Description

We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to assist with the coordination of health care serices within a children's clinic in Westchester County, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides nursing assessment, triage, first aid and treatment to residents seen in the clinic for routine and emergency care.
  • Responds to emergencies.
  • Provides/delegates comprehensive nursing care for residents.
  • Transcribes medical orders, processes medications from pharmacy, administer and document medications and treatments.
  • Administers medication in cottages, clinic and infirmary.
  • Check and maintain emergency equipment.
  • Assigns, supervises and directs L.P.N. and medical aides in providing medical care to residents, including medical trips.
  • Provides nursing assessment, triage, first aid treatment to Childrens Village employees and will coordinate appropriate medical referral if needed.
  • Provides health education as needed.
  • Communicate residents medical needs and interventions to appropriate medical staff.
  • Responsible of coordinating care of therapeutic holds.
  • Supports orientation of new medical staff.

Skills and Experience:

  • Adheres to all Agency and departmental Safety Procedures including reporting any unsafe practices, equipment and environment, and takes an active role in correcting the unsafe practice, equipment or environment through proper notification.
  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing program
  • Licensed as Registered Nurse in New York State
  • CPR Certified preferred
  • Pediatric, psychiatric or emergency experience preferred
