Social services support Needed

Responsibilities

• Will provide and oversee on-site trauma-informed social service delivery at city sanctuary hotels throughout New York City
• Working cooperatively with hotel operations and security staff
• Will welcome and engage migrant and asylum-seeking single adults, families with children, or adult families
• Assist with managing daily social service operations and provide on the ground support
• Shift Supervisors, Community associates and Resident Advisors work together to complete culturally sensitive assessments and making referrals

Requirements

• Must be Bilingual in Spanish
• Experience in social services field
• Strong understanding of trauma and how it manifests, as well as experience delivering trauma-informed, culturally sensitive services
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree or two years of relevant social services experience with people who are vulnerable and have experienced significant trauma
