Temporal Technologies is Hiring a Remote People Business Partner, GTM

 

Summary

We are looking for an experienced and driven People Business Partner to join our People team. This is a newly-created role and is our next step toward developing the People Business Partnership model at Temporal. You will have the opportunity to shape the role from the ground up, and you will be at the heart of a fast-growing, innovative tech startup, shaping and developing our culture and being a strategic partner for the business. Reporting to the Head of HR you will play a key role in Temporal’s growth and in the evolution of our culture. You will develop our People practices alongside the PBP for Delivery, and our People Operations team.

This role will be the People partner for the Go-To-Market (Sales and Marketing) departments, supporting team members in USA (predominantly), and further afield. You will be part of an innovative team that is distributed across the US and internationally, and you will experience working with passionate folks who are dedicated to the success of Temporal. Please note this is a fully-remote opportunity but some occasional travel will be required, such as our twice-annual company offsites.

What you'll do

  • Partnering with the GTM departments (60 people) as their People subject matter expert to:
    • Nurture partnerships with the people managers; providing guidance and support on all HR matters such as employee relations, performance management, compensation and job design
    • Develop a deep understanding of the team culture, and work with the leadership to cultivate it
    • Lead strategic workforce planning - aiming to have the right people in the right roles and at the right time
    • Collaborate with the leadership to develop and implement programs that promote employee engagement, retention, and development
  • Be the GTM advocate in the People team, interpreting their needs and applying them to HR planning and strategies
  • Serving as the first point of contact for the teams on HR matters, and utilizing the wider People team to find solutions
  • Working closely with the wider People team to deliver cohesive People programs across the business e.g. new hire onboarding, continuous feedback cycles, engagement surveys, compensation planning etc.
  • Partnering with the Talent Acquisition team on hiring plans for GTM departments - assisting with job descriptions, helping with hiring manager training and consulting on compensation
  • Be a person who understands Temporal’s culture, is passionate about cultivating and preserving it as we scale, and will thrive in a team of hard-working, loyal people who are passionate about efficiency, innovation and teamwork

What you bring to us

  • Seasoned experience as an HR Business Partner for a Sales team in a growing tech startup
  • Track record of success in partnering with people leaders and impacting team and manager development
  • Experience working in a fully-remote organization with proven ability to affect remote company culture evolution as part of scaling efforts
  • Sound knowledge of various HR tools and platforms (Our stack is Lever, Gem, HiBob, Paylocity, Remote.com, CultureAmp, Sequoia Benefits, Benepass, Pave and Radford)
  • Intuition, initiative, passion and creativity - a person who prides themselves on being proactive and able to anticipate needs
  • Incredible organization and project management skills, with superb attention to detail and a strong ability to execute
  • SHRM, PHR or similar certifications are a nice-to-have but not required

Compensation

  • The estimated pay range for this role is $124,950 to $169,050
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Temporal’s equity plan.
