Tempo Global Resources is an aluminum trading company that specializes in adding value for our suppliers and customers by mitigating risk for our clients, assisting in supply chain management, and offering logistical solutions for producers and consumers of aluminum. The company is headquartered in Homewood, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.

SUMMARY

The Contracts Administrator is responsible for contract entry, end-to-end supply chain management, and administrative support for our trading group. This is an exempt position that reports to our Director of Supply Chain. The Contracts Administrator is critical to maintaining customer and vendor relationships to drive strategic relationships that provide value for all parties and leads to cost savings, sales growth and opportunity for TGR. This role requires a strong understanding of customer service, contracts and position management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain trading and administrative back office including, contracts and inventory reports
  • Assist Traders in issuing purchase, sale and toll orders
  • Formulate release request forms and work closely with logistics team to guarantee prompt pick up and delivery of material
  • Support Trading team in attaining and maintaining vendor and customer relations
  • Work with accounts payable and receivable department to guarantee correct invoice payment and receipt
  • Generate reports as necessary to support the business supply and demand metal plan

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • 1-2 years of experience in inside sales, contracts management, administrative support or a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy when handling high volume of contracts
  • Ability to work independently while promoting teamwork and maintaining effective communication
  • Knowledge of Microsoft-based products and highly proficient in MS Excel
  • Ability to work well under pressure and respond to employees and customers with respect and consideration
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to achieve highest productivity while maintaining work quality
  • Ability to work onsite at our office in Homewood

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in the metals space preferred
  • Experience working in Adobe and ERP system such as Oracle or SAP
