Duties:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform dental laboratory procedures, such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Assist with dental receptionist duties, such as answering phone calls and handling patient inquiries

Skills:

- Dental Assisting: Proficient in assisting the dentist during various dental procedures
- CAD (Computer-Aided Design): Ability to use CAD software for designing dental restorations
- Medical Imaging: Knowledge of different types of medical imaging techniques used in dentistry
- Medical Terminology: Familiarity with terminology specific to the dental field
- Infection Control: Understanding of proper infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment
- Patient Assessment: Ability to assess patients' oral health conditions and identify any issues or concerns
- Medical Coding: Knowledge of coding systems used for billing and insurance purposes in a dental office
- Aseptic Technique: Skill in maintaining aseptic techniques during dental procedures to prevent cross-contamination
- Eaglesoft: Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
- Dental Receptionist: Experience or familiarity with dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
