Title: STEM Developer

Who We’re Looking For:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Arizona Teaching Certification with a relevant STEM background (e.g., science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
  1. Classroom experience - 3 year
  2. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing STEM curriculum at the middle school level.
  3. Proficiency in using technology and educational software for instructional purposes.
  4. Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with teachers, administrators, and external partners.
  5. Passion for inspiring students in STEM disciplines and fostering a positive learning environment.
  6. Knowledge of current trends and advancements in STEM education.
  7. Ability to adapt to changing educational landscapes and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  8. Performs other duties/tasks assigned.

As technology continues to play a central role in various industries, fostering STEM skills from an early age is essential. The STEM Developer will play a pivotal role in preparing students for future challenges, ensuring they develop a strong foundation in STEM disciplines that will serve them throughout their academic and professional journeys.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  1. Curriculum Development:
    • Design, develop, and enhance STEM curriculum for middle school students, integrating real-world applications and hands-on
    • Align curriculum with state and national standards to ensure comprehensive coverage of STEM
  2. Instructional Support:
    • Collaborate with middle school teachers to implement STEM components into existing lessons.
    • Provide professional development sessions to enhance teachers' STEM instructional skills.
  3. STEM Enrichment Programs:
    • Foster partnerships with local STEM organizations and professionals for guest lectures and workshops.
  4. Technology Integration:
    • Integrate emerging technologies and tools into the STEM curriculum to enhance the learning
    • Stay updated on technological advancements and assess their applicability to the middle school
  5. Assessment and Evaluation:
    • Develop and implement assessment tools to measure students' progress in STEM subjects.
    • Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of STEM programs and suggest improvements.
  6. Community Engagement:
  • Engage parents and the community in promoting STEM education through outreach events and informational
