Tempco Mfg - St. Paul Facility is Hiring a CNC Mill Programmer Near Paul, MN

SUMMARY¨NBSP;

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Programmer to join our team and play a crucial role in our manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming CNC milling machines and a thorough understanding of Metal Stamping fabrication techniques.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop CNC programs using CAM software to efficiently machine tooling components on CNC Vertical Machining Centers.

  • Analyze blueprints, models and specifications provided by Tool Designers to determine the best machining processes to yield optimum results.

  • Create Program sheets for operators that graphically explain the intent of the program (Pickup point, Tools to be used, designation of grind stock etc.).

  • Help troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.

  • Maintain cutting tool inventory of common cutting tools.

  • Maintain programming documentation and update CNC programs as needed to reflect process improvements or design changes.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Basic Qualifications**

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience programming CNC milling machines in a Metal Stamping manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar.

  • Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC machine operation.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric tolerances.

  • Experience with cutting tool selection and optimization for CNC machining in various steel types.

  • Knowledge of cutting tool materials, speeds, and feeds.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications are a plus.
