TempExperts is hiring for a Registered Nurse to join an exciting team in the Altamonte Springs area.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse provides planned and highly skilled nursing care for the immediate preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative patient. Provides continuous patient surveillance, thereby allowing early recognition and immediate emergency treatment of medical or surgical complications which may arise in any pre, intra and/or post-operative patient.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Registered Nurse must:

• Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Have current licensure in the state.
• Have experience in recovery room, operating room, or critical care area (desired).
• Certified in CPR required, ACLS (desired)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Registered Nurse is a member of the Ambulatory Surgical Center and reports to the Nurse Manager and Director of Surgery.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Greets, identifies and assesses the health status of the patient upon admission to each area.
• Develops a plan of care for the patient based on assessment data.
• Implements pre, intra and post-operative care such as chart evaluation, administering medications and preparing operative site.
• Explains to patient and/or family routine care and procedures applicable during pre, intra and postoperative phases.
• Provides comfort and reassurance to the patient and assures patient privacy and dignity.
• Assists anesthesia personnel as needed.
• Documents pre, intra and postoperative care according to policy and procedure.
• Assesses the patient's physical and emotional status upon arrival in each area.
• Receives report from O.R. Nurse and anesthesia personnel.
• Monitors vital signs.
• Monitors patient's airway and maintains or improves respiratory function.
• Assures availability and proper functioning of equipment and supplies for the patient.
