As a Field Technician at Robust AI, you will join a small fast-paced team working to design and deploy the next generation of warehouse robotic systems. Working with customers, you will help deploy and support our robot fleets onsite. You will also help troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair robots while in the field. You will work closely with the Robust engineering team to provide technical support and training to our customers. You are comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment and can collaborate with a team and produce quality work on tight deadlines.
Main responsibilities:
- Work with Robust AI early-stage customers to deploy and support robotic fleets in the warehouse
- Provide detailed trainings to customer teams onsite
- Commission, test, and debug robotic systems
- Maintain records of service calls, trainings, and expenses
- Study technical manuals and attend training sessions provided by Robust AI engineers
- Communicate and troubleshoot remotely with the Robust AI engineering team final robot assembly and robot bring up
- 3 years experience with robotics, industrial automation, or similar mechatronics industries
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to travel to a customer site up to 5 days a week
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions
- Excellent customer service skills and the desire to work
- Experience with mobile robotics hardware and software
- Familiarity with Linux and command line interfaces (CLI)
- Experience with mechatronics troubleshooting and technical debugging
- Experience with running test routines and data collection
