Job Summary:
We are seeking an Entry Level Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in estimating construction projects, ensuring accuracy and cost-effectiveness throughout the process.
Duties:
- Collaborate with senior estimators to prepare and submit competitive bids for construction projects
- Analyze project specifications and blueprints to determine material, labor, and time requirements
- Add upcoming projects to bid calendar
- Communicating with clients and contractors to gather necessary information and provide bid updates
-Once projects are awarded, candidate must award them in our system and create statements of work for each scope awarded
- Complete documentation for bids
-Reviewing plans, specifications, and other project documents to develop accurate cost estimates as required
-Collaborating with project management and other teams to ensure successful project delivery
Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction estimating principles
- Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications
- Proficiency in Bluebeam
- Basic knowledge of construction management processes
- Excellent communication skills to negotiate effectively with vendors and contractors
