Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Entry-Level POS Repair Technician to join our team. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, logging warranties, and potentially repairing point-of-sale (POS) systems utilized in retail businesses. The ideal candidate will possess a natural aptitude for problem-solving, a keen interest in technology, and a readiness for hands-on, in-person training and work. You will be responsible for maintaining various POS system components, including handheld devices, terminals, scanners, servers, printers, cash drawers, and security components, in a fast-paced environment that requires meticulous attention to detail and a professional demeanor.

Primary Duties Include

• Ensure customer hardware or software meets specifications.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on POS equipment.
• Adhere to customer contracts for warranty, third-party, or internal repairs.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment and parts according to contracts.
• Maintain accurate inventory and repair records as per company and customer expectations.
• Communicate effectively with the Supervisor regarding customer equipment and needs.
• Adhere to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) needs and requirements.
• Follow safety guidelines for the repair area.
• Assist in maintaining the repair area.

Education and Training

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel (Preferred)
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook (Preferred)
• CompTIA A (Preferred)
